Bangkok (7 January 2026) – Recently, Mr. Pattana Promphat, Minister of Public Health (4th from right), together with Ms. Chittra Meethongthanakorn, Secretary to the Minister of Public Health (2nd from right), and Mr. Yodsak Raksakaew, Advisor to the Minister of Public Health (1st from right), presided as witnesses at the ceremony announcing a collaboration between the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the Food Science and Technology Association of Thailand (FoSTAT). The partnership aims to enhance food and nutrition literacy among Thai youth through the “Smart Kids with Good Health” initiative, with a focus on promoting Oryornoi model schools. The initiative seeks to equip young people with the ability to make smart, informed choices, eat well, and maintain good health, laying a strong foundation for healthy self-care from school age and extending toward a sustainable quality of life in the future. This initiative is implemented under a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the FDA, led by Ms. Supattra Boonserm, Secretary-General of the FDA (3rd from right), and FoSTAT, led by Asst. Prof. Puangpetch Nitayanont, President of the Association (4th from left), together with Mr. Araya Rojjanawanicharkorn, Advisory to the Association (1st from left). The collaboration is supported by Suntory Beverage & Food (Thailand) Co., Ltd., led by Mrs. Mathuvalee Stithyudhakarn, Vice President – Corporate Affairs, Thailand and Indochina (3rd from left). This reflects integrated cooperation among the public, private, and academic sectors to strengthen food safety and nutrition knowledge, develop life skills for youth wellbeing, and foster informed and responsible consumption for sustainable long-term growth.
