In today’s busy world, women have numerous responsibilities. Most women find that getting their period causes anxiety and limits their ability to perform daily tasks. BRAND’S W (BRAND’S Essence of Chicken W), a formula created to meet the needs of women by Suntory Beverage & Food (Thailand) Co., Ltd., the leading supplier of health supplements under BRAND’S® in Thailand and Asia, organized the BRAND’S W campaign for Thai women’s health in collaboration with UNFPA Thailand to encourage Thai women to take care of their health during menstruation and to spread good health to women throughout Thailand. The proceeds from the sale of BRAND’S W products, which cost 3 baht each bottle, will go towards supporting UNFPA Thailand’s efforts to advance the rights of women and girls in Thailand with regard to sexual and reproductive health so they can live healthy, fulfilling lives. The period of this campaign is today through 31 March 2025.
According to Miss Chaturaporn Thanaponsangsut, Vice President of Marketing, Thailand and Indochina, Suntory Beverage & Food (Thailand) Limited, the company is committed to implementing Suntory’s “Seikatsusha” philosophy. This philosophy aims to understand the needs and life experiences of individual consumers and promote equality in various areas, including the hiring of female executives and employees, who currently make up 60% of the organization's female workforce and 40% of those in managerial positions and higher as well as flexible working policies that support equal growth for male and female employees, and the creation of products that cater to women’s health needs. The company utilizes high-quality materials and scientific advancements to develop products that genuinely fit the lifestyles of women while staying true to this philosophy and objective. The organization prioritizes knowledge of women’s health issues, particularly those arising before and during menstruation. According to a consumer insights study conducted among consumers aged 18 to 55, more than 80% of Thai women have experienced health issues related to menstruation, including lower abdominal pain, muscle and joint pain, headaches, fatigue, acne, as well as psychological effects like stress, insomnia, irritability, loss of appetite, or excessive appetite, which interfere with daily functioning.
To address these issues, the company created and launched BRAND’S W, a product that combines herbal ingredients from Angelica sinensis or Dang Gui along with six other herbs to help women before their periods. According to Eastern science, Dang Gui’s properties are hot and help nourish the blood. Additionally, BRAND’S Chicken Essence, which contains Carnosine and Vitamin B12, supports the normal function of the brain and nervous system. The product is available at 7-11 in two sizes: 42 ml for 39 baht and 70 ml for 60 baht.
Additionally, in honor of International Women’s Day, the company has partnered with UNFPA Thailand to organize the BRAND’S W campaign for Thai women’s health. The proceeds from the sale of BRAND’S W products, which cost 3 baht each bottle, will be donated to UNFPA Thailand’s efforts to promote sexual and reproductive health and rights for better health and well-being, as well as to raise awareness of the rights of Thai women and girls regarding their bodies. “This campaign reflects Suntory Beverage & Food (Thailand) Co., Ltd.’s commitment to support equality through promoting women’s health and well-being through activities, including supporting and collaborating with organizations working for women in the country.” said Miss Chaturaporn Thanapornsangsut. Regarding the organization’s function and mission, Miss Sirilak Chiangwong, Head of UNFPA Thailand, stated that UNFPA Thailand plays a crucial role in advancing the rights of all genders, ages, and groups to sexual and reproductive health, particularly women, girls, adolescents, and young people in Thailand. The primary objectives include reducing the rate of unwanted pregnancies, promoting high-quality family planning services for women, girls, adolescents, and young people, expanding access to sexual and reproductive health services, and lowering maternal mortality during pregnancy and childbirth.
