BRAND’S Essence of Chicken by Suntory Beverage & Food (Thailand) Co., Ltd, the leader of health enrichment products under BRAND’S trademark in Thailand and Asia, has made a significant move by collaborating with Bangkok International Hospital to launch the “BRAIN HEALTH FESTIVAL: Unlock Your Brain for Wellness & Prevention” campaign. This initiative aims to raise awareness about the silent dangers of brain diseases, including migraines, snoring, and epilepsy. The project’s goal is to reduce the risk of these illnesses and promote proper brain health care, ultimately enhancing people’s quality of life in a sustainable way.
Mrs. Chutamas Ngamjitkul, BRAND’S Essence of Chicken Marketing Director, Suntory Beverage & Food (Thailand) Co., Ltd, stated, “BRAND’S Essence of Chicken is committed to promoting brain health among Thais for over 50 years, as we recognize that the brain is a vital organ defining a person’s identity and is irreplaceable. Since treatment for stroke cannot restore the brain to its original state, this partnership represents another crucial step in raising awareness among Thais about the importance of prioritizing brain health from an early age. Prevention, therefore, remains the best approach to ensuring that everyone enjoys a high quality of life in the long term.”
“For the past 50 years, the company has focused on enhancing the health and well-being of its customers, placing special emphasis on nurturing the brain, which is the core of daily life and essential for maintaining good health. This focus aligns with our commitment to supporting the well-being of the Thai population, who play a vital role in driving the country’s economy and society.
On Saturday, March 22, 2025, at the 7R Meeting Room of Bangkok Hospital (Head Office), BRAND’S Essence of Chicken by Suntory Beverage & Food (Thailand) Co., Ltd., in collaboration with Bangkok International Hospital, organized the “BRAIN HEALTH FESTIVAL: Unlock Your Brain for Wellness & Prevention” campaign. This event offered the public an opportunity to receive free brain health assessments and in-depth consultations from a team of experienced medical professionals. The initiative aimed to raise awareness about proactive brain health care, including disease prevention, adopting proper brain care practices, making lifestyle modifications, and consuming appropriate foods to enhance people’s quality of life in a sustainable manner.
According to Dr. Chotipat Danchaivijitr, a neurologist specializing in optic nerve (eyes nerve) and director of the Center of Excellence in Brain and Neuroscience, Bangkok International Hospital, “The incidence of stroke in Thailand is alarmingly on the rise, with a concerning trend of patients being significantly younger. Statistics reveal that while the typical age of patients used to range between 50 and 60, it now includes individuals as young as 30. This shift is attributed to lifestyle factors such as consuming excessive amounts of high-fat foods, lack of exercise, and the fast-paced nature of daily life—all of which are major risk factors for the unexpected onset of serious illnesses.”
“Stroke is currently the most prevalent brain condition, posing a serious but often overlooked threat, particularly to the younger generation, whose daily habits place them at greater risk. Many patients tend to ignore critical warning signs, such as Transient Ischemic Attacks (TIAs), which present as temporary symptoms like hemiparesis, slurred speech and double vision. Although these symptoms are short-lived, they indicate an underlying and permanent cerebrovascular condition. If you experience any of these symptoms, even briefly, it is crucial to consult a physician immediately to prevent further complications.”
Stroke prevention approaches can be easily incorporated into daily life by making the following adjustments:
Maintaining a healthy weight.
Quitting smoking.
Engaging in regular physical activity for 20 to 30 minutes at least three times a week.
Following the Mediterranean diet, which is rich in green vegetables, nuts, fish, and olive oil.
Scheduling annual physical check-ups, particularly if you have risk factors such as diabetes, high blood pressure, or high cholesterol.
As one of the largest specialized brain centers in Thailand, Bangkok International Hospital’s Brain x Bone Hospital provides comprehensive care to patients through a team of highly skilled medical professionals and advanced equipment, including the Stroke Fast Track system—which can save lives within the critical first four to six hours—as well as Bi-plane, EEG, EMG, MRI, CT, and PET scans. The hospital has recently garnered global recognition for its excellence in treating brain and neurological disorders, earning the prestigious Specialized Hospitals award from Newsweek and Statista.
“Our brains define who we are,” Dr. Chotipat concluded. “They are irreplaceable. Importantly, once certain parts of the brain are damaged, treatment cannot fully restore them. This highlights the necessity of acting proactively—preventing strokes entirely is the most effective way to safeguard brain health.”
